Use 271 Red Loctite on A-arm, spindle, and lower shock mounting bolts, follow instructions on package. To make installation easier it’s recommended to take apart 1 side at a time so you can use the other side as a reference when re-assembling.

         Elevate front of sled.

Remove front belly pan cover air box, battery, battery mount, on the Apex the fairing must be removed to remove air box etc..

Disconnect a-arms at spindles and frame, loosen jam nuts at tie rods, and remove tie rods, un-bolt stabilizer bar links, remove shocks at a arms, and then remove a-arms.

Put a light coat of lithium (cold weather) grease on all bushings and pivot points.

Install new a arms at the frame using original bolts (put 271 loctite thread-locker bolts), nuts ,and plastic spacers, leave O.E.M. bushings in bulk head, torque bolts to 27 ft/lbs. Bolt a-arm to the spindle using the new bolts provided. The upper a-arm bolts install from front to back, the right lower bolt (as you’re sitting on the sled) put in from the back side forward, the left side lower bolt put in from the front to back (put loctite on bolts), original spacers in spindle housing and nuts, and torque upper to 29 ft/lbs, and lower to 47 ft/lbs.

Bolt the shocks in place at the a-arms using the bolts provided (put loctite on bolts), and torque to 30 ft/lbs. Spring pre-load (5/16”) or air pressure should be increased (10 lbs.) on the ski shocks.

Replace the stock stabilizer bar, make sure to line up the arms with each other, bolt the links to the a-arm stabilizer mounts, Screw the tie rods onto the rod ends, (use a light lube when putting through the boots) the knurled end goes to the outside (spindle end).

Set the sled on the floor and set the toe to 0” to 1/8” toe out, straighten the handlebars and run a straight edge alongside the track running forward, measure at runner mounting bolts making sure the handlebars and ski are aligned with one another while setting toe. Tighten inner and outer jam nuts when finished.

Install belly pan cover, battery mount, battery, air box etc..

Check for tightness all points of assembly after initial break-in period of 100-200 miles.
