 The Pioneer Composite Roller initial concept has been tested for several years. Shifting is extremely smooth, and back-shift (throttle response is instant). The roller design reacts quicker and is not as sensitive to load changes as the stock fixed button design (which relies totally on friction to work). The PCR design is the easiest roller to install on your YVXC secondary, and features several improvements over current designs. Self centering cover keeps the bushing in alignment with the moveable sheave bushing for smooth consistent shifting. True installed spring height keeps the side force the same as stock keeping the belt "hooked up" at all times. Uses a special barrel type mounting nut, so simple you don't even have to remove the stock helix mounting studs! We've got an excellent snow tested set-up for the RX-1, instant back-shift and throttle response, along with greatly improved acceleration and increased top end. We also have trail tested calibration for most other Yamaha models! Specify year and model when ordering. For installation only three holes need to be drilled and tapped, helix acts as a template, the holes do not affect anything should you choose to return the clutch to stock. Kit comes complete with drill, tap, roller plate (with bushing), helix, barrel mounting nuts, helix mounting bolts, and washers.

PERFORMANCE CLUTCH KITS

Bruce Schrader has been tuning clutches since 1978. His experience has given him a great understanding of how the centrifugal snowmobile clutch system works. These clutch kits are designed specifically for the performance minded trail rider, looking for the best possible acceleration while maintaining the back-shift needed when going through the bumps, or coming out of a corner. All kits are designed under real snow conditions, and include all the necessary components and instructions for easy installation. The RX-1 kit is an excellent combination of acceleration, and back-shift, while maintaining the engine braking and low speed belt grip. 

New this year we have an excellent clutch kit for both the Apex, Vector, and Nytro. Both kits feature new weights, rivets, primary spring, billet helix, and the Nytro also comes with a new secondary spring. Both kits dramatically improve acceleration, both standing and roll on. Also trail response corner to corner, and back-shift are improved, making both of these sleds more fun to ride.

BILLET MULTI-ANGLE HELIX'S

A multi-angle helix is designed to improve your sleds acceleration while maintaining back-shift. The initial angle of the helix is increased to compensate for the significant torque increase of the newer two stroke engines. As the RPM’s and speed increase, the helix angle drops, allowing for improved back-shift at higher speeds where the torque increase is not as significant. The first number is the initial angle, the point at which the helix is placed with the clutch in the closed position. The second number is the full shift angle, the helix angle changes at a steady rate until reaching this angle at full-shift. The quality of these helixes are equal to or better than any on the market at a lower price.

PIONEER PERFORMANCE PRIMARY CLUTCH SPRINGS

These primary springs are made from high quality chrome silicon wire. The pre-load of each spring is higher than any of the O.E.M. springs, resulting in a higher engagement RPM. The rate of each spring is lower than the springs that come stock in the performance models (SX Viper, SRX), giving them a more aggressive up-shift. Each spring is designed for the tall cover Yamaha primary clutch (SX Viper, SX-R, SRX, etc.).
