ABOUT PIONEER PERFORMANCE

Pioneer Performance is was founded by long time Yamaha specialist Bruce Schrader. He began racing Yamaha snowmobiles in 1978 and continued until 1998. Bruce started in the Yamaha after-market in 1983 with Bender Racing where he remained for 11 years. In 1994 he was hired to start a new company, Maxximum Performance, he was the driving force behind the companies technology and growth before leaving in the fall of 2000. Bruce has been involved in suspension and shock service since the late 80's, at that time developing the specs for Fox-Yamaha after-market shocks. Yamaha introduced the aluminum bodied Kayaba shock on the '96 XT, from the start Bruce has been working with them, because of his experience Pioneer Performance is a service center for Yamaha Kayaba, Soqi (RX-1, Apex), Ohlins, and we also service Fox Float, HPG, and most other snowmobile shocks. Our experience with all brands (we are currently a Yamaha, Polaris, and Ski-Doo dealer), has allowed us to come up with greatly improved shock valving for all Yamaha models. We have been using multi-staged and progressive valving shim stacks for several years in many Yamaha models.
